Being a part of the growing Eco-tourism/Mayan ruin/jungle study set, appealed to our sense of adventure. In 1997 we bought "Hummingbird Hills". It was 12 acres of reforested pastureland, in the village of Bullet Tree Falls, 3 miles west of San Ignacio. In just four years we have transformed our plot into a beautiful lodging destination that includes three guest cabanas, the Sage Thyme Cafe , a lounge, several groomed nature trails, a tree farm, and gardens galore.
